Who we are
Olisipo Way is an investor in businesses and startups (web2 or web3).
We are not a traditional VC (venture capital) fund, as we do not have a fund with LPs (investors who invest in funds). We invest our own money.
We bet on the OW community to add even more value to the companies we invest in.
More than money, we want to add value.
More than good business, we want to work with passionate people who share the same values as us.
OW community
We have built a community of over 60 companies. Where founders and managers get to know each other's businesses and help each other in the various challenges and opportunities.
The OW community seeks to give value to company founders and managers, giving them access to new views from entrepreneurs at similar or more advanced stages, new approaches to problems, experience and networking. Above all, we create closeness and, in most cases, friendships.
To belong to the OW community, the company has to be invested by Olisipo Way.

We invest
Types of companies we invest in:
- Business - Profitable Businesses - Companies that operate in more traditional areas and that have an innovative product/service or have identified a differentiated approach in the market.
They sell a product or service based in some way on technology.
They aim to be financially profitable and distribute dividends to their shareholders.
Stage: Pre-seed (pre-product, pre-sales, pre-company)
Tickets: 50k-250k
Structure: Equity ~30%-40%
- Startups - Web 2 - Companies looking to disrupt a market segment by introducing an innovative product based on technology.
They aim to grow quickly and gain more market share with successive rounds of investment with startup investors (pre-seed, seed, series A, B, C, etc).
We preferentially invest in the first investment round (pre-seed) or in lower seed rounds. We do not make SAFEs or convertibles.
Stage: Pre-seed or Seed
Tickets: 50k-100k (we follow-on to serie A)
Structure: Equity ~10%-20% (we don't do SAFEs or convertibles)
- Startups - Web 3 - Companies operating in the web 3 world (blockchain, crypto).
They aim to build products for a decentralized world or leverage web3 technology for less obvious market segments.
Our initial tickets on these projects are usually lower: 5k-10k. With the possibility of increasing significantly in subsequent rounds.
Stage: Pre-seed or Seed (pre-market)
Tickets: 5k-10k (50k-100k next rounds)
Structure: Equity, SAFEs and/or SAFTs
It should be noted that since we do not have a fund, nor a mandate for LP's, we have flexibility for different investment structures, stages, tickets, etc..
